The Advantages of Micro Spray Tape

Micro spray tape is already one of the most widely used irrigation methods for field crops, vegetables and orchards. This article covers what it is, its main advantages, and how to choose it for your farm.

What is micro spray tape?

Micro spray tape is a thin-walled plastic irrigation tape with laser-punched holes on the surface. Water passes through and sprays out as a fine mist, imitating natural rainfall. It is widely used for field crops, vegetable plots, nurseries and greenhouses.

Advantages of micro spray tape

  • Even discharge — uniform hole spacing gives consistent spraying and fewer dry patches.
  • Wide coverage — a large covered area per metre of tape, well suited to open field crops.
  • Water saving — far less waste than flood irrigation.
  • Simple, low-labour installation — light and soft, no special tools needed.
  • Custom hole spacing — adjusted to the crop, soil and local climate.
  • Cost effective — a thin-wall product, more economical than rigid sprinkler systems.
  • Versatile — flat ground, gentle slopes, vegetable plots, orchards, nurseries and greenhouses.
